The combination of foods plays an important role in the normal functioning of our body. There are certain foods that are categorically not recommended to mix. Often, the combination of foods with different textures and flavors can cause discomfort in the digestive system.
Here are some "undesirable" food combinations:
Banana and Milk
Although this combination may seem healthy, both products are "heavy" to digest and should not be consumed together. Both bananas and milk are difficult to digest, which can slow down normal brain function. Additionally, bananas become acidic and toxic when combined with milk. This can lead to various problems such as rashes, coughs, colds, and allergic reactions.
Cheese and Beans
Cheese is a dairy product rich in protein. In most cases, combining cheese with beans leads to bloating and slowed digestive processes, as both products are "heavy" to digest. When they reach the large intestine, the processes of sweating, urination, and defecation slow down.
Pizza and Soda
Many of us wash down our favorite pizza with a soft drink. However, pizza contains both proteins and carbohydrates, which require significant energy expenditure for digestion. At the same time, the carbonation from soda slows down this process. As a result, stomach problems may arise.
Yogurt with Fruits
The combination of yogurt with fruits is not optimal, as the stomach digests yogurt at a completely different rate. Yogurt contains many bacteria that act on fruit sugar, while the acids in fruits affect the digestion of yogurt. Although this combination may be tasty, it is better to enjoy each product separately. Consuming them together may lead to coughing and skin allergies.
Eggs and Meat
This combination is a real "protein bomb." This is what creates the problem. The high protein content requires a long time to digest, which can cause stomach discomfort.
Potatoes and Meat
Although this is a very popular combination, it is better to avoid it. Potatoes are rich in starch, which requires a large amount of alkaline digestive fluid (gastric juice), while meat requires acidic digestive juices. After consuming both products, they may "get stuck" in the stomach, causing disorders such as heartburn, gas, and belching.
Burger and French Fries
French fries and hamburgers are foods that are deep-fried. Their consumption can significantly lower blood sugar levels, leading to feelings of fatigue and lethargy.
