Pine nuts contain a multitude of vitamins and trace elements: vitamins B1, B2, B4, B7, E, K, PP, as well as magnesium, potassium, copper, zinc, manganese, iron, and phosphorus. Additionally, they contain beneficial fatty acids that help control harmful cholesterol levels, which in turn reduces the risk of stroke.

However, nuts have one significant “drawback” — their high calorie content. There are 673 kcal in 100 grams of the product.

What health problems can be solved by adding nuts to the diet?

Pine nuts have numerous health benefits. Let’s take a closer look at five of them.

Improvement of sleep. The seeds contain tryptophan, which promotes quick falling asleep and quality rest for 7-8 hours. Regular full sleep positively affects mood, helping to avoid depression.
