Let's start with the simplest recipe for a cod liver salad, which can be called basic.

Simple Cod Liver Salad Without Mayonnaise

Ingredients:

2 boiled eggs and onions,
1 can of canned cod liver,
salt.

Preparation of Simple Cod Liver Salad

Peel the boiled eggs and chop them finely, also chop the onion and sauté it in a pan until soft.

Remove the cod liver from the can, mash it with a fork, add the onion and eggs, drizzle with the canned liquid, mix, and season with salt to taste before serving.

Pat the cod liver dry with a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Peel the cucumbers and cut them into small pieces.

Combine all the ingredients, dress the salad with oil from the can if desired or leave it undressed, mix, and serve.

Spicy Cod Liver Salad

Ingredients:

250 g canned cod liver,
150 g cheese,
3 cloves of garlic,
3 eggs,
herbs,
salt.

Preparation:

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mash the yolks with the oil from the can, add crushed garlic and chopped herbs.

Finely chop the egg whites, mix them with grated cheese and mashed cod liver.

Dress the salad with the yolk-garlic sauce and sprinkle with herbs.

Cod Liver Salad with Nuts

90 g hard cheese,
1 can of cod liver,
1 cucumber,
2.5 tbsp hazelnuts,
2 tbsp sour cream,

Cod Liver Salad with Soy Sauce

340 g tomatoes,
260 g cod liver,
50 g green onions,
3 radishes,
3 fresh cucumbers,
soy sauce,
pepper,
salt.

Preparation:

Finely chop the cod liver, peel the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces, and also slice the radishes.

Grate the cucumbers on a medium grater, finely chop the green onions.

Mix all the prepared ingredients, season with pepper and salt, drizzle with soy sauce, mix the salad, and serve.

Vegetable Salad with Cod Liver

Ingredients:

280 g boiled potatoes,
250 g cod liver,
140 g pickled cucumbers,
80 g boiled carrots,
75 g onion,
3 tbsp olive oil,
salt.

Preparation:

Mash the cod liver with a fork or finely chop it, cut the potatoes and cucumbers into cubes, grate the carrots on a medium grater, and finely chop the onion.

Combine all the ingredients, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt, and mix.

You can use either boiled or fresh carrots for this salad.

Cod Liver Salad with Chinese Cabbage, Beans, and Mustard Dressing

Ingredients:

85 g Chinese cabbage,
20 pitted olives,
5 quail eggs,
2-3 boiled potatoes,
2 cloves of garlic,
1 can of cod liver,
onion,
bell pepper,
tomato,
canned beans,
lemon juice,
parsley,
mustard,
spices, salt.

Preparation:

Finely chop the cod liver, potatoes, onion, and eggs.

Cut the olives in half, slice the bell pepper and Chinese cabbage into thin strips, and cut the tomatoes into slices.

Pass the garlic through a press, chop the parsley, and combine all the prepared ingredients.

Mix the lemon juice with mustard, salt, and spices, drizzle over the salad, mix, and serve.
