Experts have determined which alcoholic beverage contains the least calories

Alcohol is a product that can negatively affect one's figure. Its danger lies in the fact that, being high in calories, alcohol contributes to the consumption of additional calories. Since calories from alcohol do not provide a feeling of fullness, this increases the risk of overeating or excessive drinking.

Liqueurs pose the greatest danger in this regard, as they are the most calorie-dense among alcoholic beverages. There are 300–350 calories in 100 grams of liqueur.

Vodka, whiskey, rum, gin, and fortified wine contain slightly fewer calories — 250 calories in 100 grams of these drinks.

Interestingly, a bottle of beer also contains 250 calories.

As for brandy and cognac, there are 175 calories in 100 grams of these drinks, while 100 grams of sweet vermouth contains 170 calories.

Dry vermouth and semi-sweet champagne have the same calorie content — 120 calories per 100 grams. Semi-sweet wine contains between 80 and 100 calories per 100 grams. The most preferred are dry wines, both red and white, as they contain the least calories — less than 86 per 100 grams.
