Meatballs in puff pastry is an original dish that can be served both on weekdays and for holidays. This appetizer is quick and easy to prepare. It is better to use ready-made unleavened dough.
Ingredients:
Puff pastry - 200 g
Minced meat - 500 g
Egg - 1 pc.
Onion - 1 pc.
Herbs - 1 bunch
Salt - to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Preparation:
1. Mix the minced meat with finely chopped onion. Add the egg, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well.
2. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm. To prevent sticking, add a little flour.
3. Cut the dough into thin strips.
4. Form medium-sized balls from the minced meat and wrap them in strips of dough, creating little bundles.
5. Place the bundles on a greased baking sheet and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. Before baking, you can brush the bundles with egg yolk.
As soon as the bundles are browned, the dish is ready!
It is best served hot and freshly made, but the fragrant baked meatballs will also be tasty when cold. Fresh or pickled vegetables make an excellent side dish.
