The doctor highlighted a dish that should be consumed three times a week

Therapist Darya Utyumova claims that adults are advised to eat soup two to three times a week if there are no acute or chronic gastrointestinal diseases.

According to her, boiled foods retain more nutrients. Soups are easier for the body to digest and contain fewer calories compared to fried, stewed, or baked dishes.

“For soup to be beneficial, it needs to be prepared correctly. It is recommended to choose vegetable soups or those made with chicken, turkey, rabbit, or lean meat. Vegetable soups are rich in dietary fibers, which help improve peristalsis — the contractions of the gastrointestinal organs that affect our well-being,” the doctor explained.

For those who prefer meat soup, the doctor advises draining the first broth to get rid of excess fat and harmful substances that may be present in the meat.

Additionally, the therapist recommends drinking still water during meals and avoiding sugary drinks due to their high sugar content.
