What Not to Eat for Breakfast: Three Most Harmful Options

Researchers have identified the three most harmful types of breakfast and explained the reasons for their negative impact. English endocrinologists presented the results of their analysis of popular morning dishes.

 

According to specialists from Diabetes UK, a complete and nutritious breakfast can significantly affect blood sugar levels. However, this will not happen if the morning starts with the following three options:

Ready-made breakfasts in the form of cereals, pillows, and rings that children love.
Fried muesli, popular among young people.
Sandwiches on white bread.

“Fast carbohydrates consumed in the morning (which also include often chosen ready-made desserts, bars, juices, and fast food) provide an instant surge of energy and a feeling of fullness, but they have low nutritional value,” explained nutritionist Daria Korableva. “Therefore, after such a breakfast, a feeling of hunger quickly arises, leading to a desire to snack again, which directly contributes to weight gain (especially since fast carbohydrates are very high in calories).”

What do doctors recommend? Replace cereals and muesli with oatmeal with added fruits and berries or natural yogurt. And it’s better to prepare sandwiches on whole grain bread.
