We know that all tea contains antioxidants that protect against a range of diseases. However, one type has more beneficial substances than another. According to a doctor of medical sciences, the best type is neither black nor green, but white tea.
White tea is made from the buds of plants. It is less prone to fermentation, which allows it to retain significantly more antioxidants. Additionally, it contains less caffeine. One can drink up to 4 cups of white tea a day. However, it has a significant downside — white tea is quite expensive and hard to find.
Overall, black, green, and red tea can all be appropriate in the diet. The specialist advised drinking tea in the morning and afternoon, while avoiding caffeinated beverages in the evening to prevent insomnia. Furthermore, many are accustomed to drinking tea with something: it is better not to serve pastries with tea, but sandwiches with fish or vegetables are acceptable, though in moderation.
It is recommended not to add sugar to tea.
