According to cardiologist and nutritionist Philip Kuzmenko, the number of eggs one can consume per day depends on the ultimate goal of their consumption.

There is a universal norm: doctors say that it is permissible to eat 1–2 eggs a day. But in reality, it is all individual. It is important to remember the caloric content of the product and to focus on the needs of one's body. For example, athletes who require more protein for muscle mass growth can benefit from eating egg white omelets without fatty yolks. In general, people who lead an active lifestyle and regularly visit the gym are allowed to eat a few more eggs — but only the whites, without the yolks. This same recommendation is relevant for those who are losing weight.

"Eggs will not kill a person. There is no ban on consuming eggs," Kuzmenko stated.

As for cholesterol in eggs, there is no need to be afraid of it. If issues with blood cholesterol levels have already been diagnosed, then a consultation with a doctor will be necessary. Otherwise, one only needs to monitor basic indicators such as appearance and well-being.
