A menu rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants reduces the risk of eye diseases and slows down age-related changes, noted the specialist.

Foods containing vitamins A, C, E, omega-3 fatty acids, selenium, and zinc are particularly important. Pumpkin, carrots, fish, sweet peppers, eggs, leafy greens, and berries provide undeniable benefits.

Additionally, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and citrus fruits should be included in the diet — they strengthen capillary walls and protect tissues from oxidative stress, reports RT.

According to the expert, there are no foods that can restore lost vision; however, regular consumption of the listed ingredients helps maintain eye health and prevent the development of many diseases.
