Coffee is beneficial for the body, the main thing is not to consume it in excessive amounts, said therapist M. Tolstova.
With moderate consumption, this invigorating drink can reduce the likelihood of heart failure, ischemic heart disease, and heart rhythm disorders, the doctor explained. It is safe for health to drink up to four cups of brewed coffee daily.
However, exceeding this norm may increase blood pressure and heart rate. In people with hypertension and heart rhythm disorders, existing conditions may worsen. During the recovery period after a stroke or heart attack, coffee is strictly prohibited, the specialist emphasized.
Tolstova also advised against replacing meals with coffee, as this may cause nausea, heartburn, and exacerbate chronic gastrointestinal diseases.
