Firefighters continue their efforts to extinguish the construction waste fire in Rumbula, Stopiņi parish of the Ropaži municipality, the State Fire and Rescue Service (GPSS) reported.
On Friday, May 1, shortly before 10:00 PM, the State Fire and Rescue Service (GPSS) received a call, and on Saturday night at 12:37 AM, the high-risk fire was localized.
As reported, the State Police has initiated a criminal process regarding the construction waste fire in Rumbula, the police informed the LETA agency.
The fire occurred at the sorting and processing center for construction waste "Nomales" of the construction and industrial waste disposal company "CleanR Verso" in Rumbula, on Brivnieku Street.
