A fire occurred this morning at the nightclub 'The Sinners' in Vecārgli, covering an area of 300 square meters.
The State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) reported that a call was received at 6:18 AM for Greciņieku Street, where a fire broke out in the public premises on the first floor of a six-story residential building.
According to LETA agency data, the fire occurred at 11A Greciņieku Street, where the nightclub and bar 'The Sinners' is located, according to available information.
The owner of 'The Sinners', Miks Galvanovskis, reported on Instagram that the bar caught fire for unknown reasons after working hours. "At the moment, our activities are suspended," he stated.
Before the arrival of the SFRS, three people evacuated the building on their own, and rescuers evacuated another four.
By 7:21 AM, the spread of the fire was contained. The total area of the fire is 300 square meters.
Firefighters continue to work at the scene, and traffic on Greciņieku Street is restricted.
