The State Police has determined a punishment for filming in the women's shower of the dormitory of the Liepaja branch of the Riga Technical University (Liepaja Academy).
A man who filmed the video has been fined 350 euros.
Recall that on March 14, the police received information that in Liepaja, in one of the hotels used as a dormitory for female students, a woman taking a shower noticed a phone in the ventilation shaft.
When the woman screamed, the phone was removed, after which she heard footsteps that faded away in the common corridor.
With the help of surveillance cameras, the police identified the man who was in the showers at the time the woman was there. Although he denies filming or photographing, and no photo or video materials were found on his phone, he admitted to looking through the ventilation hole.
An administrative process was initiated against the man for sexual harassment. He was fined 350 euros.
At the end of March, TV Kurzeme reported that the Liepaja Academy of the Riga Technical University no longer recommends students use the former dormitory and is looking for alternative housing after a phone with an activated camera was discovered in the showers.
