The minister's order is related to a video that appeared online showing police fleeing from the attacker during the terrorist attack in Kyiv, leaving ordinary people defenseless. In the video shared by witnesses online, patrol officers can be seen running away from the scene upon hearing gunfire. Terrorist Attack in Kyiv: What is Known On the evening of April 18, a man opened fire on passersby in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. He then entered one of the supermarkets, where he took people hostage. Special forces arrived at the scene. Media reported that negotiations with the criminal lasted about 40 minutes. Ultimately, he was neutralized. The case has been classified as a terrorist act. A criminal proceeding has been opened under part 3 of article 258 of the Criminal Code. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the man had previously been prosecuted. Zelensky added that the investigation has several versions of what happened.
