In Riga, a young couple had their electric vehicle, a "Hyundai," stolen — the car disappeared overnight from Sunday to Monday on Morica Street.

"It was around 7 AM, I was getting ready for work... I go out and the first thought is — where is my car, dude? I walk around, thinking maybe I parked it somewhere else over the weekend?"

However, Kristians did not mix anything up — on Sunday evening he left his "Hyundai" in a specific spot, and on Monday morning, as he says, it "just disappeared," reports the show Degpunktā (TV3).

The conclusion was obvious — the car was stolen. Together with his wife, they immediately called the police. Explaining what happened, Kristians regretted not activating the vehicle's remote tracking system.

In addition to worrying about what could have been done differently, there came the realization — the circumstances indicate an experienced car thief. Kristians shares that both sets of keys were with them, and if the alarm had gone off, someone would have heard it.

Kristians has a pessimistic scenario — perhaps the car has long been taken to Poland, but there is also hope that it might be nearby, for example, in one of the garages in the Dzirciems area.

Together with his wife, they are not sitting idly by — they are posting ads online, calling electric vehicle charging stations, and have also put up printed notices around the neighborhood at the doors of houses in hopes that someone will respond.

Kristians urges all car owners equipped with remote monitoring apps to use them and not skimp on this. In conclusion, the victims ask: if you see a dark gray "Hyundai" with the license plate EY-4123, please call 28361995 or contact the police at 112.
