The fate of the missing Gustav Aris was reported three weeks ago — the young man left a nightclub in Jelgava early in the morning and disappeared on the streets of the city.
On Wednesday, the police reported tragic news — Gustav has been found dead, the show Degpunktā reported (TV3).
The circumstances of the discovery, including whether there are suspicions of a crime, have not yet been commented on by law enforcement. The family also remains in the dark.
"We are currently waiting for the results of the examination, but he was found by the river. We do not know what happened yet... Initially, he was identified by all the signs — the bag, the watch, the phones. A small examination was conducted immediately to confirm, then it was confirmed that it was him, and now a more thorough investigation will be carried out to find out what happened," said Gustav's cousin Diana.
