Firefighters are extinguishing a fire in the train from Bergen to Oslo that caught fire while in transit, reports NRK.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of April 7. A fire broke out in one of the carriages of the Bergen–Oslo train shortly after it departed from the last intermediate station.
The train was stopped, and the passengers—about 200 people—were evacuated. Some carriages were detached and moved to a safe distance from the fire.
The fire spread from the burning carriage to the surrounding area. Fire crews are working at the scene.
Buses were sent for the passengers, where they could wait during the firefighting efforts or continue their journey on them.
