A fire occurred in a hangar on Viskalju Street in Riga on Saturday, reports the LETA agency citing the State Fire and Rescue Service (GPCSS).
According to representatives of the State Fire and Rescue Service (GPCSS), the fire is currently localized. The call was received at 15:49. A hangar with an area of 500 square meters was on fire at the scene. At 16:48, the spread of the fire was stopped. Firefighters continue to work at the site, and currently, dismantling and cooling of the structures are being carried out.
Medical personnel and police have arrived at the scene; however, as reported by representatives of the Emergency Medical Service, there are no injuries.
The State Police reports that traffic is closed on the section from 1st Line of Čiekurkalns to 2nd Line of Čiekurkalns.
