Yesterday, the Riga municipality began paying crisis benefits to residents of the house on Bauskas Street, whose property was damaged as a result of the gas explosion. A total of 21,840 euros were disbursed, the Riga City Council's external communications department informed the LETA agency.
By the end of the working day on January 6, the Riga Social Service received 50 applications for crisis benefits for residents of the house at Bauskas Street, 15.
Yesterday, 20 households received the benefit. The amount disbursed will assist 34 affected individuals.
Today, the review of applications and the disbursement of benefits continues.
