For security reasons, six foreigners were denied entry to Latvia

For security reasons, on Wednesday, entry to Latvia was denied to two citizens of Moldova, two citizens of Kazakhstan, as well as one citizen of Russia and one citizen of Belarus, the State Border Guard informed the LETA agency.

Foreigners attempted to enter Latvia through the border checkpoints in Grebnevo, Terehovo, and Paternieki, but they were prohibited from doing so. All individuals were instructed to return to their countries of departure.

Additionally, in the past 24 hours, border guards identified 33 offenders at the external borders and within the country.

In several cases, violations of the conditions of stay were recorded.

Also, at the Riga Airport checkpoint, a minor Latvian citizen was identified, flying to Israel, who did not have notarized consent from at least one parent for independent departure from the country.

The border guard also recorded other violations.
