On the night of November 27, the Riga State City Municipal Police received a call to the Ziepniekkalns area — a freezing person in need of assistance was located in one of the garden houses.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers searched the nearby surroundings and the area of the garden plots.
Due to the darkness and heavy snowfall, they were unable to locate the person, so a decision was made to survey the area using an unmanned aerial vehicle — a drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera.
After intensive searches with the drone, the missing man was found and handed over to medical personnel, who transported him to the hospital.
