Another smuggler of illegal migrants detained in Latgale 0 8

Checking the received information, border guards stopped a "Renault" taxi with a yellow taxi license plate in the Svariņi parish. During the inspection of the vehicle, the border guards discovered four individuals of Asian descent without valid travel documents and active visas and residence permits.

A criminal case has been initiated against a non-citizen of Latvia for providing two or more persons the opportunity to illegally reside in Latvia.

The four border violators were returned to the border with Belarus.

It has already been reported that until the beginning of October this year, the State Border Guard initiated criminal cases against 76 individuals for the transfer of illegal migrants from Belarus or for providing them the opportunity to illegally stay in Latvia.
