The driver of a Volkswagen Polo was attempting to park the car by the roadside when a motorcycle suddenly crashed into it. The driver immediately ran to the motorcyclist to help, and later the injured person was taken to the hospital, reports the program Degpunktā (TV3).
Arthur was helping his friend on the side of the road replace a flat tire — his companion had just been in a motorcycle accident. After finishing the work, he approached the film crew and recounted how it all happened.
"So, my friend wanted to park. There’s that Volvo. He was driving down the middle of the road. He wanted to turn, and apparently didn’t notice, and the motorcyclist probably crashed into the side," Arthur said.
The driver confirms his friend’s version — the motorcyclist was overtaking, and he himself carelessly entered the oncoming lane. Immediately after the collision, he rushed to the motorcyclist.
"I wanted to help him somehow. I took his bag, wanted to take off his helmet, but then decided not to touch anything," said the driver involved in the accident. "He said his leg hurt, and that was it."
Soon, medics arrived and took the motorcyclist to the hospital. The injured person's friends were also on the scene and gathered his helmet and motorcycle debris.
