In Riga, in the Latgale suburb, last Friday, October 17, the bodies of two people were discovered in one of the apartments, one of whom had a gunshot wound, confirmed the State Police to the LETA agency.
The bodies of a man and a woman were found after rescuers entered the apartment. The deceased man had a gunshot wound recorded.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 116 of the Criminal Code — murder.
Examinations have been appointed, and the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
According to preliminary data, the man may have inflicted bodily harm on the woman, which led to her death, after which he took his own life.
