410 people evacuated due to fire in Vangazi 0 17

At 11:56, the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call in Vangazi, where electrical wiring was burning on the first floor of a two-story public building, covering an area of 0.5 square meters. Before the firefighters arrived, 410 people were evacuated from the building. The fire was extinguished at 13:09.

At 20:47, a call was received on Dzelzavas Street in Riga, where the kitchen of an apartment on the fifth floor of a five-story residential building was burning over an area of 10 square meters. Before the SFRS arrived, four people were evacuated from the building, and upon the firefighters' arrival, another eight people were evacuated. The fire was extinguished at 22:25.

Over the past 24 hours, the SFRS continued to receive a small number of calls related to the cutting of fallen trees and branches that posed a threat. Ten such calls were recorded in Riga and the suburbs, and two in Zemgale.
