The police in Riga arrested a previously unconvicted young man (born in 2006) for robbing a woman in the Daugavgriva neighborhood, the police report.
According to the investigation, on September 26, the young man pushed an elderly woman (born in 1967) on the street and stole her bag, which contained 336 euros in cash, gold earrings, medication, and other personal items.
The police arrested the suspect on September 30. During the search, they found the stolen bag, money, and earrings, as well as about seven grams of marijuana.
A search of his home also revealed medication belonging to the woman.
It was also discovered that the detainee attempted to use a bank payment card belonging to the victim.
