The Food and Veterinary Service at the border identified banned food additives in imitation caviar from Russia

During laboratory testing of samples of imitation red and black caviar of Russian origin taken at the external border of the European Union, the Food and Veterinary Service (PVS) identified banned food additives in the EU, reports LETA.

The Food and Veterinary Service indicates that banned food additives "E321", "E110", and "E124" were found in 420 grams of imitation red and black caviar "Zdorovye".

The service explained that the distributor of the product has begun its recall.

The Food and Veterinary Service has posted a notification about the identified violation in the EU rapid alert system.

The Food and Veterinary Service is a government agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and carries out state supervision and control in the field of food and veterinary circulation.
