The state joint-stock company "Latvijas dzelzceļš" (LDz) will auction four properties in Riga and Jelgava with a total starting price of 825,793 euros, according to a statement in the official publication "Latvijas Vēstnesis," reports LETA.
In particular, in Riga, LDz will offer for sale a utility building on Kronu Street. The starting price of the auction is set at 412,665 euros.
Also in Riga, LDz will auction a property on Laktas Street with a starting price of 115,484 euros, which includes the "Brasa" station, a toilet, and a passenger pavilion.
In Jelgava, LDz will offer a property on Pasta Street, which includes a service-technical building, a garage, a fuel storage, a hangar, a materials warehouse, a workshop, and an archive building. The starting price of the auction is 151,618 euros.
Additionally, in Jelgava, LDz will offer a property on Prokhorova Street, which includes the main building of the electrical section, a materials warehouse, another warehouse, and an engineering structure — an external gas pipeline. The starting price of the auction is set at 146,026 euros.
The auctions will begin on Tuesday, March 3, at 13:00 and will end on April 2 at 13:00.
As reported, the turnover of the LDz group in 2024 amounted to 233.738 million euros, which is 11.3% less than in 2023, while the group's losses have increased significantly — to 39.438 million euros.
During the reorganization in October 2025, the subsidiary of LDz — LLC "LDz Cargo" — merged with LDz subsidiaries — LLC "LDz ritošā sastāva serviss" and LLC "LDz loģistika". The LDz group also includes "LatRailNet", which establishes infrastructure fees and allocates the capacity of the railway infrastructure, and the security company "LDz apsardze."
