Last year, 1.634 billion cigarettes were exported from Latvia to other countries, which is 5.364 million cigarettes, or 0.3%, more than in 2024, according to the summarized indicators of the turnover of excise goods from the State Revenue Service (SRS), LETA reports.
In other countries, 33.269 million cigars and cigarillos were exported last year, which is 35% less than in 2024.
Additionally, 149,094 kilograms of smoking tobacco were exported from Latvia last year, which is 21.2% more than in 2024.
Last year, 20,219 kilograms of heated tobacco were also exported from Latvia, which is 1.2% less than in 2024.
The majority of the exported tobacco products were sent to other European Union member states: 1.347 billion cigarettes, 33.121 million cigars and cigarillos, 52,563 kilograms of smoking tobacco, and 20,168 kilograms of heated tobacco.
As reported, in 2025, a total of 1.506 billion cigarettes were transferred for consumption in Latvia, which is 148.302 million cigarettes, or 9%, less than in 2024.
