Deliveries will take place in stages according to the approved schedule.
The first trolleybus from a batch of 30 units, produced by the Turkish company Bozankaya under a contract with the municipality of Prague, has rolled off the assembly line.
According to the company, the first completed trolleybus has already been sent to the capital of the Czech Republic for delivery to the customer. As part of the project, 30 vehicles are planned to be manufactured, with deliveries taking place in stages according to the approved schedule.
The new trolleybuses are intended to provide an eco-friendly and innovative alternative to public transport, including in the historic center of Prague. The 12-meter-long vehicles feature high passenger capacity, the use of advanced technological solutions, and an environmentally friendly electric powertrain.
The modern design and high energy efficiency make these vehicles an important element of sustainable urban transport, while also providing an increased level of comfort for passengers. After passing all necessary tests and commissioning procedures, the trolleybuses will be put into service and will start serving the residents of the Czech capital.
The Chairman of the Board of Bozankaya, Aytunc Gunay, whose comments are included in the statement, noted that the trolleybuses, developed by the company's research and engineering departments, contribute to reducing the carbon footprint due to zero emissions.
Gunay emphasized that the low noise level during the operation of the vehicles helps to reduce the acoustic load in densely populated central areas of the city. "These characteristics fully align with Prague's goals in sustainable transport," he noted.
According to the head of the company, the implementation of the project in the Czech Republic significantly strengthens Bozankaya's position in the European market. "We take great pride in the fact that vehicles bearing the Bozankaya logo will be operated in such a historic and iconic European city as Prague. We intend to continue bringing our sustainable, eco-friendly, and innovative mobility solutions to the roads of Europe. We are confident that the trolleybuses produced for Prague will make a significant contribution to the development of the city's public transport infrastructure for many years to come," Gunay stated.
