The first trillionaire suggested that instead of the U.S. government acquiring a stake in OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI, budget money should be distributed to the people. He promised that inflation would not occur thanks to robots.

Distributing money from the federal budget is a better option than the U.S. government acquiring a stake in the largest companies developing artificial intelligence. This was stated by businessman Elon Musk on X.

"It’s better to just send money directly to people from the treasury. As long as the growth of goods and services exceeds the increase in the money supply, which will be the case with artificial intelligence and robots, there will be no inflation. Essentially, I predict that we will be desperately fighting deflation!" he wrote.

This is how Musk reacted to the words of U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who confirmed that the government would like to become a co-owner of every major AI company in the U.S. "The president supports the idea of the United States owning these large AI companies. He likes this idea as a kind of sovereign wealth fund, where the U.S. gets a stake in these AI companies," the politician said.

Musk owns xAI, which is developing the chatbot Grok.

In April, the businessman stated that if humans are displaced from the labor market due to AI, the best way to deal with unemployment would be for the U.S. government to distribute money to the population. In his opinion, this would be the best way to guarantee a "universal basic income."

In January, Musk noted that the pace of AI development significantly outpaces traditional policy, which is characterized by multi-layered and slow decision-making processes. AI can develop "ten times faster than the government, or maybe even more," which makes it difficult for authorities to respond effectively, he explained.
