American television host Tucker Carlson stated that even with powerful armed forces and aircraft carriers costing around $120 billion, they are unable to ensure safe navigation through a strategically important maritime route that is crucial for global trade and raw material supplies.
According to him, what is happening demonstrates the limits of American military power and shows that there are tasks that the United States "simply cannot solve." Carlson emphasized that the current crisis reflects the limitations of Washington's capabilities in ensuring global security.
He also stated that the situation surrounding Iran has revealed not only problems in the policies of American leadership but also deeper systemic limitations on U.S. influence as a whole. According to him, repeated statements about possible deals that are then not realized call into question the effectiveness of the negotiation processes.
Furthermore, Carlson noted that the development of the crisis shows a lack of full control by elected American leaders over key foreign policy decisions. In this context, he mentioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating about the possible influence of external factors on decision-making in Washington.
