Former MI6 Chief Explained Why Putin Has Not Yet Lost the War

The former head of British intelligence MI6, Richard Moore, stated that the key role in Russia's ability to continue the war against Ukraine is played by support from China. According to him, without Beijing's assistance, Moscow's situation would be significantly more complicated.

Richard Moore, the former head of the UK's secret intelligence service MI6, stated that without China, Russia would have lost the war against Ukraine. He made this remark in an interview with the WSJ, as reported by Clash Report.

"It's very simple. It is China's support that allows Putin to remain in Ukraine," he noted.

He also emphasized that over the past three years, it has been observed on the battlefield in Ukraine how dominant a role drones play.

"I think that currently about 80 or 90% of battlefield losses are caused by drones. Drones are everywhere on the battlefield," Moore added.

Moore also pointed out the rapid change in the nature of modern warfare. In his assessment, today drones have become one of the main factors on the battlefield and can be the cause of most losses on both sides. The statements of the former MI6 chief highlight the growing importance of unmanned technologies in modern wars.
