U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington was ready to carry out a large-scale strike on Iran, but the attack was postponed after requests from U.S. allies in the Middle East and ongoing negotiations.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had canceled a planned military strike on Iran scheduled for Tuesday. According to him, the decision was made after appeals from Gulf countries urging Washington to give ongoing negotiations a chance.

Trump did not disclose details of the possible operation, but stated that American military forces had been ordered to be ready "for a large-scale strike on Iran at any moment" if the parties could not reach an acceptable agreement.

For the first time, it became known that the U.S. had considered the possibility of a strike in the coming days.

Just over the weekend, Trump sharply increased pressure on Tehran.

"For Iran, the clock is ticking, and they better act quickly, or there will be nothing left of them," he warned.

In recent weeks, the American president has repeatedly spoken about the fragility of the ceasefire established in mid-April. However, the parameters of a possible agreement between the parties have remained publicly unclear.

According to Trump, leaders from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates urged him to refrain from the strike.

For countries in the region, a new large-scale escalation between the U.S. and Iran could pose a threat to oil supplies, the security of maritime routes, and increased tensions throughout the Middle East.

In fact, the situation surrounding Iran has once again approached a dangerous line, where diplomatic negotiations are accompanied by direct threats of military intervention.

Amidst the instability in the region, investors and global markets are closely monitoring any statements from Washington and Tehran, as a new conflict could directly impact oil prices and the global economy.

While the U.S. declares its readiness for a forceful scenario, it simultaneously leaves room for negotiations.
