An entrepreneur from Gorbunkov seized the throne in the Hermitage hall and staged a show. When the 45-year-old man was attempted to be escorted out, he pulled out knives.
The incident occurred after two o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday. A large man of athletic build climbed onto the platform where the throne is located and began loudly reading from some papers he had brought with him. The gathered spectators heard that he was a businessman. Words about bribes, loans, and the speaker's ruin were mentioned.
An employee of the Hermitage attempted to bring the man down. The staff member climbed over the rope barrier and ascended the steps. But then the throne taker pulled out two knives and approached the cultural worker, who had to step back.
Soon, Rosgvardiya officers arrived at the scene. They evacuated visitors from the hall and detained the armed entrepreneur. The troublemaker was taken to the Central District police.
