French shipping company CMA CGM reported that its container ship San Antonio was attacked while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Several crew members were injured, and the vessel sustained damage.
The incident occurred on May 5. The injured have been evacuated and are receiving medical assistance.
"CMA CGM is closely monitoring the situation and, like the crew, is fully mobilized," the company stated.

The container ship was heading to the Indian port of Mundra and was sailing under the Maltese flag. CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container carrier, previously reported that 14 of its vessels were in the Persian Gulf at the onset of the war with Iran, and later one managed to exit through the strait.
