Robert Fico proposed a meeting with Zelensky in Bratislava

The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, stated that the negotiations between his country and Ukraine will take place in Bratislava or Kyiv.

Fico no longer says he will go to Kyiv; instead, he prefers to hold joint government negotiations in Bratislava.

This is reported by Dennik N.

"I felt that President Zelensky (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, - ed.) was flexible enough. So let's try to organize negotiations in Bratislava. I have no reason to make cheap gestures," he noted.

At the same time, on Saturday, May 2, after a phone conversation with Zelensky, Fico stated that he would go to Kyiv. "We will continue in the format of joint governments, while we will mutually visit the capitals of our countries," emphasized the Prime Minister of Slovakia.

Until now, Fico had avoided visiting Kyiv. Now he says he does not want to argue about the location of the negotiations. "Joint government negotiations will take place in Bratislava or Kyiv," said the Slovak politician in Yerevan.

Additionally, Fico stated that he and Zelensky have "diametrically opposed views" regarding the war, oil, and loans.

"If I had talked longer with President Zelensky, we would have found that we have diametrically opposed views. I have a different opinion regarding the war, oil, and whether to provide them with loans," he noted.

At the same time, the Slovak Prime Minister added that Slovakia and Ukraine are neighbors, so it is necessary to work on road and rail communication, as well as energy.

"As before, Slovakia will not support any military loans and will not send weapons for free. If someone wants weapons, they can buy them," Fico emphasized.
