'Araghchi writes, 'The events in Hormuz clearly show that there is no military solution to the political crisis.'
The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that negotiations with the U.S. are progressing thanks to 'Pakistan's efforts.' He also warned the U.S. and the UAE about the 'quagmire' that 'malicious actors' may draw them into.
Tehran has stated that Iran will consider any attempt by the United States to interfere in the situation in the Strait of Hormuz as a violation of the ceasefire.
Earlier, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it would deploy destroyers, over 100 aircraft, and 15,000 military personnel to escort vessels through the Strait of Hormuz as part of the 'Freedom' project.
Tehran's sharp statements heighten tensions around the key maritime corridor, bb.lv reports. Against the backdrop of increased U.S. military presence, the risk of further escalation in the region remains high.
