As we have already reported, a man with a shotgun, a pistol, and several knives stormed the Secret Service checkpoint at the Washington Hilton hotel, injuring a federal officer and forcing U.S. President Donald Trump and members of his cabinet to leave the ballroom where the White House Correspondents' Association dinner was being held.
According to the information received, 45 years ago - in March 1981 - an assassination attempt was made on President Ronald Reagan near this same hotel; he was shot and three other people were injured.
The attacker, John Hinckley, was found not guilty by reason of insanity and was subsequently released from a psychiatric hospital.
In turn, we remind you that in July 2024, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, there was already an assassination attempt on Trump. One of the bullets passed just a few millimeters from the president's head, grazing his ear. One person was killed, two others were injured, and the shooter was killed.
