Prince Harry Arrives in Kyiv

British Prince Harry arrived in Ukraine on Thursday for an unannounced visit, urging the world not to let attention wane from Ukraine's fight against Russian aggression, reports LETA citing DPA, as well as the British broadcaster ITV and other Western media.

ITV captured Harry arriving at Kyiv's train station on Thursday morning, stepping off a night train from Poland and greeting people on the platform.

"It's nice to be back in Ukraine," the broadcaster quotes the prince.

Prince Harry told ITV that he wants to "remind people at home and around the world what Ukraine is fighting for, and to support the people and partners who are doing special work every day, every hour in incredibly difficult conditions."

Harry described Ukraine as "a country that is bravely and successfully defending the eastern flank of Europe," and noted that "it is important not to lose sight of the significance of this fact."

As he prepared to speak at the Kyiv Security Forum taking place on Thursday and Friday, the prince stated that his message to Ukrainians is that "the world sees you and respects you."

According to ITV, in his speech in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday, the prince will emphasize that the world must not become indifferent to this war or any other conflict.

"This is a war for values, not just for territory," Prince Harry will say in his address.
