A record number of British performers will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Of the eight new members of the Hall of Fame, six are from Britain.
Among them are Oasis, heavy metal legends Iron Maiden, singer Sade, Manchester bands Joy Division and New Order (which are considered one collective), Phil Collins (previously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 as a member of Genesis), and rock performer Billy Idol.
In the 40-year history of the Hall of Fame, the previous record for the number of British performers inducted in one year was five: in 2019, Radiohead, The Cure, Def Leppard, Roxy Music, and The Zombies were inducted.
All inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2026 are:
