The USA proposed a 15-point plan to end the war with Iran, with Pakistan playing a mediating role in conveying this proposal to Tehran, media reported on Tuesday, writes LETA citing DPA.
The Israeli television and radio company N12 reported that the draft plan includes Iran's commitments not to acquire nuclear weapons and to transfer its stockpiles of enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The American news outlet "Axios," citing an informed source, reported that U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff informed U.S. President Donald Trump of Iran's agreement to several key points, including the transfer of its enriched uranium stockpiles.
It remains unclear how Tehran will officially respond to this proposal, the "New York Times" reported. It is also unknown what Israel's reaction will be, as it is involved in this conflict.
Trump has repeatedly stated that Iran is eager to reach an agreement.
"We are actually negotiating with the right people, and they really want to make a deal," Trump said on Tuesday in Washington.
He also noted that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President James David Vance are participating in the negotiations.
