U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Iran with the destruction of power plants. He made the corresponding statement on the social network Truth Social.
"If Iran does not fully open, without threats, the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, the U.S. will strike and destroy their various power plants. They will start with the largest one first," he threatened.
Trump also separately stated that the U.S. "wiped Iran off the face of the earth." According to the American leader, the regime in Tehran wants a deal, but he does not.
"The United States wiped Iran off the face of the earth, and yet their frivolous analyst David Sanger claims that I have not achieved my goals. Yes, I have, and several weeks earlier than planned! Their leadership is destroyed, their navy and air force are wrecked, they have no defense, and they want to make a deal! And I don’t want to," he said.
