DM: British nuclear submarine HMS Anson has taken position in the Arabian Sea.
The British nuclear submarine HMS Anson has arrived in the Middle East and has taken position in the Arabian Sea. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
It is noted that the submarine is equipped with Tomahawk Block IV land-attack missiles with a range of up to one thousand miles, as well as heavy Spearfish torpedoes.
The submarine departed from the Australian port of Perth on March 6 and has taken position "in the deep waters of the northern Arabian Sea," the article states.
The publication writes that this could indicate a possible attack by the British Navy on Iran in the event of an escalation of the conflict.
