Zolfaghari: in the event of attacks on power plants in Iran, the Strait of Hormuz will be closed.
In the event of US attacks on power plants in Iran, the Strait of Hormuz will be completely closed until their restoration. This was stated by the official representative of the central command headquarters of the 'Khatam al-Anbia' military command, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, as reported by the Tasnim agency.
Zolfaghari also announced other consequences of US attacks. In particular, he threatened the destruction of all companies in the Middle East where the US has interests, as well as the power plants in those countries of the region where the US has stationed its military bases.
Furthermore, the representative of the central command headquarters of the 'Khatam al-Anbia' military command stated that in the event of US strikes, the entire energy infrastructure, as well as the information and communication technology facilities of Israel, would be considered military targets.
Earlier, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent did not rule out the possibility of sending American troops to the Iranian island of Khark to pressure Tehran to open navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
