The joint military operation of Israel and the American administration of President Donald Trump against Iran, named "Epic Fury," resembles a demonstration of impotence. This opinion was expressed by journalists from the Chinese portal Sohu, noting that the conflict resulted in a political defeat for the US.
"'Epic Fury of Powerlessness' is dragging the US Army into an extremely difficult situation from which it will be hard to escape. It is quite predictable that Iran may soon become the 'cremation ground for the American empire,'" the publication states.
According to Chinese analysts, the conflict has shown that Washington's military advantage is an illusion. As a result, the American THAAD missile defense system was rendered inoperable, 27 US military personnel were attacked, and seven refueling aircraft were damaged. They believe that the effectiveness of the American air defense and early warning systems was extremely low, forcing the aircraft carrier strike groups Gerald R. Ford and Abraham Lincoln to leave the combat zone.
