Ukraine Agreed to Repair the 'Druzhba' with European Funds

Ukraine has agreed to accept financial and technical assistance from the European Union to repair the damaged Druzhba oil pipeline. This is reported by Politico.

"The EU offered Ukraine technical support and funding," stated a joint announcement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa.

The decision by Brussels and Kyiv, notes Politico, was motivated by a desire to ease political tensions after Hungary, which uses the pipeline, blocked a €90 billion loan to Ukraine.
