Iran Comments on the Fate of Enriched Uranium After Strikes by Israel and the U.S.

Araghchi: after the strikes by the U.S. and Israel, enriched uranium is under the rubble.

Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium was buried under the rubble of a nuclear facility following attacks by Israel and the United States. This was stated by the country's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in an interview with the American television channel CBS.

According to the head of Iran's foreign policy agency, there is a possibility of extracting uranium from the debris, but only under strict control of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The minister emphasized that Iran currently has no active nuclear program and no plans to extract uranium from the rubble.

It was previously reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with Donald Trump, offered the Americans permission to allow him to transport uranium from Iran to Russia, but received a firm refusal from the U.S.
