U.S. intelligence agencies believe that the Iranian regime has not fundamentally changed and is not threatened with collapse in the near future, reports Reuters citing sources, LETA reports citing BBC.

According to sources, the analysis of the situation shows that the regime in Iran is not threatened with collapse and maintains control over the country's population.

Amid rising political pressure due to increasing oil prices, U.S. President Donald Trump stated this week that he will soon conclude the largest military operation by the U.S. since 2003. However, finding an acceptable solution may prove difficult if radical leaders in Iran continue to hold power firmly, notes Reuters.

Intelligence reports emphasize the unity of Iran's clerical leadership, despite the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28, the first day of U.S. and Israeli strikes.

Israeli officials have also privately acknowledged that there is no certainty that the war will lead to the collapse of the Iranian regime, a senior Israeli official told the agency.
